Hey! Week 5 of Friday softball and we are only in mid October. That's what I'm talking about! Let's get to the action...

Game 1: Misfits vs. Levittown Crush

The Misfits take an early lead in the top of the first getting five runs thanks to a Brian Rishel homerun. In the top of the third the Misfits bust out for seven more runs by Dave Destaphanis and Joe Sharpe. LC plates one run in the bottom of the third coutesy of a Thom Tyrell homer. Two runs come in for LC in the bottom of the fifth on two errors and two singles. In the top of the seventh the Misfits push four runs across thanks to a leadoff triple by Rich Edmundson. The Misfits beat down the Levittown Crush, 20-7.

Game 2: TBD vs. Big Heads

The bottom of the first has BH out to a five run lead thanks to doubles by Warren Gran and Bernie Marsh. In the top of the second TBD gets a run courtesy of a leadoff double by Ed Knabb. BH scores five more runs in the bottom of the fourth all on singles. Anoter run comes in for TBD in the top of the sixth thanks to a homer by Bill Martino. In the bottom of the sixth BH pushes four across on back to back doubles by Rick Totans and Kent Smedley. Big Heads is all over TBD, 17-4. Unfortunately, because of an all star violation, Big Heads loses this game while TBD steals a much needed win.

Game 3: Red Lion Diner vs. Helios Data Services

A triple by Luc Lawlor helps Helios pick up two runs in the bottom of the first. RLD doesn't do much until the top of the fourth when they break out for eleven runs thanks to a triple by Tony Cabot and a homer by Ed Doyle, Jr. Four more runs come in for RLD in the top of the fifth all on singles. Helios finally gets going again in the bottom of the sixth plating four runs on a few walks and a few singles. Red Lion Diner tops Helios Data Services, 18-10.

Game 4: Andy's Snack Bar vs. Royal Rooters

In the top of the first a Keith Keppley double helps ASB pick up three runs. Four runs are scored for ASB in the top of the third thanks to a Matt McReynolds double and a triple by Keith Keppley. In the bottom of the fourth RR gets on the board with four runs thanks to a double by Dave Nagle. ASB puts the game away in the top of the fifth scorin ten runs with the big blast being a two run homer by Beau Burris. Andy's Snack Bar takes care of the Royal Rooters, 21-4.
