Recaps for June 26, 2008 (Summer Week #5)

Horsham Inn - 20, Q.E.D. - 12

Week #5 started with Horsham Inn coming back from a 10-5 deficit in the fifth inning to record a 20-12 win as they scored nine times in the sixth inning and six times in the seventh inning to earn the win.

Leading the Horsham Inn attack was John McCabe with four hits and seven RBI's. Kyle Ladden had three hits, two home runs and five RBI's and Dave McGuire added three hits and three RBI's.

Jarred Gardner led Q.E.D. with four hits (hitting for the cycle) with four RBI's in the loss. Shawn Goodwin and Craig Freeman each had a hit and two RBI's in the loss.

Penny Gardens - 21, Rosengren Family Builders - 5

The second game of the night saw Penny Gardens blast Rosengren Family Builders, 21-5, opening up a 21-1 lead after five and a half inning with 11-runs in the top of the sixth inning to blow the game open.

Leading Penny Gardens was Hackett with four hits and six RBI's, Loveland with three hits and three RBI's and Valentino with three hits and three RBI's. Granelle and Roberts each added two RBI's in the win.

Rosengren got two RBI's from Frank Staber and a solo home run from Matt Schaub in the loss.

Poole's Skyline Tavern - 16, Griffin Drywall - 14

A quick start by Griffin Drywall (9-4 lead after three innings) was thwarted as Poole's scored seven times in the fourth inning and four more times in the seventh to record the victory.

Leading Poole's was Brian with three hits and five RBI's, Dave L. with two hits and three RBI's and Cal with two hits and two RBI's.

Griffin was led by Bill Yok with two hits and three RBI's and Steve Keeley and Mark Merschbach with two RBI's each.

Irish Car Bombs - 26, Priapus - 0

The final game of the night was a blowout as the Irish Car Bombs scored early (four runs in the first inning) and often (16 runs in the second inning) to record an easy 26-0 win over Priapus.

Leading the Car Bombs was Scott Grabas with five hits and four RBI's, Mike Foley and Neil Hebert with a combined six hits and three RBI's each and Steve Gottshall, Wayne Wiley, John Toto, and Eric Furmiss with two RBI's each.

Priapus got hits from Pollock, B. Collins, Destremps, Gefiter and Josh Collins in the loss.
