I agree with Hez about option 2 (but since we're both managing that shouldn't be a surprise) It should be considered, but I think it may not be the best option. If you select option 2, then 15 people are affected (the two managers and the 13 people placed on the alternate list) Option 3 affects the least amount of people (9). Plus with shrinking the teams to 12, it will be easier for managers to make sure everyone gets fair playing time, since there will only be 2 people on the...

Les, i think option # 2 should not even be considered. To drop a managers tandem and assign 13 players to a alt. list is unfair to all those people. Can you keep the Alt. list open up until the day before, or 2 days before the tourney??

This will be my first 1-pitch tourney and I can't wait to be a part of it. Do you recommend that people bring their own wooden bats or do teams generally have a bat that people can share?

We would have no player statistics with which to handicap any outsiders. This would give the managers 'in the know' a a distinct advantage.

Les, instead of dropping people down to the alternate list if no others sign up, have you considered opening up the alternate list to non-league members? I know some people in Levittown who've considered playing here in the past. Maybe getting them out to the tourney would get them addicted like the rest of us.

Mitch Diodato and Mark Ambolino can no longer attend the tournament. Alternates Bob Lambert and Bob Garges have been added to the body of the draft.

We have exactly 0 alternates to replace any players that might be forced to take themselves out of the tournament from now until the day of the tournament. This is not a good situation - something we have never faced before. One of 3 things will need to happen in the next few days.

1) We get a rash of players to sign up...

It's acutally 2-2-1. 2 eddies in the line-up. 2 eddies in the field. 1 of the eddies in the field must be a female and play a position other than catcher.

All alternates, save for 1, have been added to the body of the draft. One eddie spot has been left open and will remain so until this Wednesday, May 7th OR the spot is filled, whichever comes first. Player stats for the draft will be posted this week. The player draft is Sunday, May 11th, 7:30 pm at Gavin's Tavern. All are welcome to attend.
