Manager Tim O'Shea has petitioned for, and been granted, the release of Steve Mendenhall a.k.a King Schlep from the all-star restricted list. Having enough at-bats to qualify last year and not being listed among the top 125 players in the men's or top 95 players in the coed league in 2009, the release of these players from the all-star restricted list is in line with league policy.

Of the male eddies playing in the men's league, only Warren Grant was listed among the men's league all-stars in 2009. As per league rules, Warren will be designated as a core player in the coed leagues for the 2010 softball year.

Rob Welhaf has become a male eddie this year at the age of 49 because he applied for 'eddie at 52' exemption before the deadline of December 31, 2006.
