The Labor Day 1-Pitch tourney is early this year. In fact, it's not even going to be held in the month of September. August 31st is the Sunday before Labor Day which places this tournament a little over 6 weeks away.

The ball field is just about tournament ready. The infield has been resurfaced. The Port-a-Potties are clean. The grass will get cut tomorrow and the rest of the finishing touches will be put on early Sunday morning. The weather has been taken care of. Hello SBA, many of you know me. My name is Karol Ann Kinkelin. Last year I held a bake sale at the Labor Day One-Pitch to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Eastern PA. I've decided that we WILL be having a Labor Day 1-Pitch tournament this fall and not give it the rest I spoke of earlier. As much as I try and pound it into my head to accept the fact that I can't make everyone happy all of the time, I find myself trying to do so over and over and over again. When innocent people get hurt by the actions of others, it drives me crazy and I tend to overreact. I will continue to react to inequities, but to not run a tournament that brings so much joy...
